Kira Kira is a transmedia band born in Brooklyn, NY in 2024 by Dasychira and Sayoko Osada, blending electronic music, existential poetry, and immersive storytelling. In collaboration with evolving guest artists, Kira Kira creates multi-sensory portals to access spiritual, mythological, and imaginary realms. 

The band’s journey began with their performance at the Center for Enlightenment Arts in Brooklyn, NY, as part of a series with Meuko Meuko x NonEye and Kevin Peter He x Jake Oleson. Since then, Kira Kira has continued to redefine and evolve their unique approach to mythmaking.

Dasychira, a South African-born artist, creates music and art that tiptoes between dimensions of fantasy. Sayoko Osada is a Japanese-born multimedia director and stage designer with an emphasis on genre-fluid worldbuilding and storytelling to challenge and expand perception.   Together, they form the heart of Kira Kira, perpetuating new myths, worlds, and frameworks through storytelling arts.
